    I will, in fact, continue to text after looking at that. I will not, however, TEXT and DRIVE. That is the stupidest thing! Either dont text and drive or pull over to text. Its simple stuff people!

    @Trew
    but you know people are still going to do it. It’s rather sad, even after getting in a wreck while texting and driving people will still continue to text and drive. It’s as bad as drunk driving

    Well… she’s like 15 so I doubt she ha enough driving experience to handle a car very well anyway. Texting only adds to her poor driving skills. PLUS, if she skidded 600 feet on her top then she was also SPEEDING.

    Yeah, right-she was texting. I wonder what her BAC was; or if she was on something. Texting seems a rather covenant excuse.

    @Hindsight Man

    Honestly man, this kind of thing happens all the time, sadly enough. I’ve seen articles on car accidents, people stepping into traffic, falling down open manholes, even one about someone walking into a railing and falling off a balcony.

    The list is endless of incidents were people have have put themselves, others, or both at extreme risk because they were distracted by texting.

    @Robert

    And yeah, this is a good point. While there’s honestly no reason to think that alcohol, drugs, etc. had anything to do with it (texting and driving being dangerous enough on their own), to skid that far; after swerving which should have slowed her down, she must have been going incredibly fast, which would also make it harder to get the vehicle back under control.

    You need skills to text and drive. And a number pad phone. Qwerty phones and touch screen ones are what kill you.
