To anyone sticking up for her the girl resisting. Resisting arrest doesn’t come from literally resisting arrest. He probably told her what to do, she refused to do it a orderly manner. Technically speaking even a handcuffing isn’t an arrest. It only becomes resisting arrest once you do something stupid, such as not following what the officer is asking.

The girl in the pink, she should of been hit in some way. A shove, mace, tazer, batton etc. all would of been fine. This was a lone officer doing his job who was then surrounded by a mob of people. So he punched her in the face feeling threatened after just being pushed. Not the best option, but not incorrect or over doing it.

As for how i would feel if that were me? I wouldn’t be retarded enough to let it go that far…

The policeman may overdid it, but i think it’s not completely wrong… IF there was another police man with him that may not happen.

The officer was totally, 100% correct, and I’m glad to see his police department is standing behind him. The woman interfered with an arrest, and no matter what the situations, you simply cannot do that. The officer didn’t abuse the woman, hit her repeatedly, or use extreme force (like a taser, mace, aggressively tackling her, etc.). He simply hit her once to get her to back off and subdue her. Common technique for police when they are being physically threatened, as in this case the officer was.

You do know that they could have legally done even more than that right? In fact he probably should have.
