In fact, in Canada, some people use the word Dutch instead German. But anyway it is stupid not knowing what is German…

Dutch is a different language than German…
Dutch is the language they speak in the Netherlands and Belgium, look it up…

He just misunderstood, he thought the presenter said “Justin Beiber, is german for basketball?” Its the presenters fault for not saying the whole question when he was asked to repeat it. “Is German for basketball?” Makes no sense. Just a misunderstanding, chill out.

It’s true some people in Germany speak Dutch but from my experience (living there for 2 years) very few people do and most people speak German. Dutch is spoken in the Netherlands and Belgium. They are two different languages.

I come from New Zealand and although I can understand this perfectly I’d like to point out the fact that Justin Bieber repeats it several times indicating he could read the word.

And for the sake of people like @WTF!? German is never referred to as Dutch; perhaps deutsch – But im sure a boy of that callibre wouldn’t understand that either.
