1. When the cab gets hit the first time the front grille with the Hyundai logo gets smashed in and disappears. In the second scene the grille reappears and the car has less damage than the scene before. And in the warehouse scene the grille disappears one final time.
2. In the scene with the falling van you see Arthur asleep without the headphones originally placed on his head. Before the van falls in the water they show Arthur again wearing the headphones.
3. In the scene where Yusuf is introduced, a gray cat is seen investigating a large jar behind him. In subsequent shots the cat both disappears and reappears.
4. One car explosion shown twice. First is the shot of the car exploding in a fireball, filling the frame. Minutes later the same car is shown exploding in the same fireball, but as part of a bigger shot from further away, in the bottom half of the frame.
5. Once Saito has been shot during the first level of Robert Fischer JR’s dream, he is placed on a surface whilst Cobb talks to him, Saito has a gape in his shirt which reveals the sticky tape and part of his blood pack on his chest, for his bullet wound.
6. When the white van leaves the warehouse, the door is so narrow that the right mirror on the passenger side of the van hits the door and is pushed back. In the next scene, it is out again.
7. When the helicopter lands after picking up Cobb and Arthur, it is still in Japan. The backdrop where Saito tempts Cobb though, is the Terminal Building at Farnborough Airfield, England, UK.
8. The immigration form Cobb is given in the plane towards the end of the movie is the white I-94 form given to those coming to the US on a visa. US citizens need only fill out a smaller blue customs declaration form.
9. When Cobb and Robert are in the hotel bathroom (2nd level) Cobb kills two men. The very next scene that shows Cobb and Robert in the bathroom the dead men’s bodies have disappeared.
10. When Fischer’s cab is being hijacked, numerous production markings are visible on the street.

and there’s that mistake at the beginning of the movie ,,,when saito takes cobb and Arthur with him on the helicopter…and when they land and cobb and arthur get off..U could hear the sound of the helicopter;s blades ,yet cobb and arthur’s hair and clothes are still…not affected at all by the rotation of the blades

I wouldn’t really call them mistakes since it all occurs in a dream state as other people already mentioned. But I did see some big fails in this movie. Since the plot tries to be real complex I guess it’s impossible to get all things to work out. First: Didn’t they have to be on that first level at least for one week, because of that stuff they got? They were back from those deepers levels of dreams really fast in that first level time and they stated in the beginning that they could never survive a week, so did they all get to limbo?.
Second: Forces that affect them in a previous level comes to the next level as well (gravity), but altough they said that first level doesn’t affect the third, it still creates a domino effect. Weightless in the first -> no weight in the second -> Weightless in the second -> no weight in the third etc.

These are just goofs/mistakes, every movie and tv show has them it’s not going to be perfect just because Nolan is directing.

The only thing that was really wrong was in Limbo, where at one part they are old but when they die to leave they are young, the other parts are all just things that happen in dreams
I think of movies as more than entertaiment. I think of them as an art. So I think it’s fun and stimulating to examine them like this! I don’t think it depreciates the movie. I still think this movie is one of the best films created last year!

Ok dude… When you are dreaming… if you kill your subconscious the body does not stay there until the cops come! You might kill someone and they suddenly disappear!
Now I dont want to be mean to you but listen ‘Inception’ Opening Weekend Scores $64 Million… and you still want to criticize the producers… How much money have you made saying all this crap…

WOW. stop trolling and looking for mistakes in the movie. I didnt notice a single mistake that affected the excellency of the movie or made me think “OOh thats a mistake”
dude, not being funny, but who gives a s***. The movie is amazing mistakes or no, and to be fair 10 mistakes in a movie is pretty good going, the producers are human! you telling me you’ve never made a mstake! I made one coming onto this web-page!

I dont agree with 5 – the blood pack. I think that scene shows Sayto bandages they mantion it in previos one.
I just watched Inception for the second time…Just as good BUT I noticed a huge mistake. Unless someone can explain?
So they enter the guy’s dream on the plane, Then from the van in the first dream, they go to the next dream in the hotel, Now in that dream, they’re affected by the gravitational changes in the previous dream (the van’s driving and fliping). But then why doesn’t the gracity distortions, and eventually zero gravity not affect the thrid dream? Thats a mistake unless i’m missing some key thing. hm? Someone get back to me please. I’m curious.
